Founding of Maschinenfabrik Spaichingen

by the entrepreneurial Mayer family from Albstadt. Competencies: Mechanical engineering (for the textile industry) as well as ultrasound technologies shortly thereafter.

1966

Production of circular knitting and sock machines

(until 1974)

1984

Foray into the world of powertrains

as part of the extended workbench of Daimler Zuffenhausen

1985

Production of multilayer ceramic circuits

for IBM (until 1996); production with precision machining under clean room conditions.

1994

MAN and Mercedes-Benz

Production of rocker arms and valve bridges for MAN and Mercedes-Benz.

1997

New branch in the US

MS Industries Inc. (sales and service) is established in Fowlerville (Michigan).

2005

"Universal engine"

Production of the entire camshaft housing for Daimler-Benz's "universal engine" DDC/HDEP.

2008

Takeover by GCI

now MS Industrie AG.

2009

New branch in Zittau

(MS PowerTec GmbH) for the production in the field of "engine technology."

2011

Rolls-Royce Supplier Award

Expansion of the Zittau branch. Integration of what was then MS Spaichingen GmbH in the areas of "engine technology" and "welding technology." Maschinenfabrik Spaichingen becomes MS Spaichingen GmbH. Receipt of the Rolls-Royce Supplier Award.

2013

Move of MS Industries Inc.

(within Michigan from Fowlerville to Webberville).

2015

Move and name change

"MS Spaichingen GmbH" moves into the new building in Trossingen-Schura as "MS Powertrain Technology GmbH."

2016

Name change of "MS Spaichingen GmbH"

to "MS Powertrain Technologie GmbH" and "MS Ultraschall Technologie GmbH" as independent entities in the respective business units.

2020

Fully automated:

Implementation of fully automated production lines and rotary indexing machines in the areas of mechanical machining and assembly.

2021

MTU Supplier Award

Receipt of the MTU Supplier Award.
